The FHSI APPG comes to UKREiiF

On Thursday 21st May, the FHSI APPG held a drinks reception at UKREiiF, bringing industry leaders and professionals from across business, industry and politics to come together to discuss the future delivery priorities across the housing and retrofit sectors.

It was great to see many familiar faces, as well as new ones, engaging with the APPG and discussing the future of housing delivery, skills and new innovation.

With the UK’s housing sector under increasing pressure for greater delivery capacity, skills provision and faster decarbonisation, the Future Homes, Skills and Innovation APPG is working to lead and shape the debate on future priorities, bridging the gap between industry and government to help meet the ambition of the sector.

The reception provided a valuable opportunity for industry leaders, professionals and policymakers to connect, exchange ideas and explore some of the key opportunities and challenges facing the housing sector. Conversations covered a range of topics, including housing delivery, skills, innovation, retrofit, digital technology and the collaboration needed to deliver high-quality, sustainable homes fit for the future.

With attendees representing organisations from across industry and government, the event fostered new connections and encouraged constructive discussion on how the sector can work together to support economic growth, accelerate delivery and drive innovation across the built environment.

As part of the wider UKREiiF programme, the reception helped showcase the important role of the Future Homes, Skills and Innovation APPG in bringing together diverse voices from across the sector and creating a space for meaningful conversation in a relaxed and engaging setting.

The APPG would like to thank everyone who joined us and contributed to a lively and enjoyable evening of discussion, networking and collaboration.
